Report: Economy impacts residents’ health

[Owatonna People's Press, December 15, 2010] The results are in. Allina Hospitals & Clinics and the Wilder Center for Communities held a community health dialogue in Owatonna on Sept. 8, focusing on healthy eating, active living and maintaining a balanced life.

The dialogue gave 20 participants from around the community an opportunity to weigh in, and Allina then compiled the results from the south region, including Owatonna, and nine other regions into a health assessment report.

Key findings in the report highlighted both positive impacts on health from the local community and barriers to community health.
