Three out of four people who have chlamydia don’t know they have it. Doctors recommend routine chlamydia screening for young, sexually active women. If you are a sexually active woman age 25 or younger, your doctor may recommend you get tested every year. The screening test is very accurate and easy—it’s just a urine test. If chlamydia is found, it can be successfully treated with antibiotics.
