A first of its kind in Minnesota mental health training program for 911 dispatchers is trying to bring a more holistic approach to de-escalating people in crisis. Allina Health Emergency Medical Services is the first in the state to have all their employees certified.

Brian recently retired from his role as president and EMS chief for Allina Health EMS , a hospital-based system with headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota, serving more than 100 communities with more than 600 employees.

After spending his childhood in a rural area of upstate New York, Reina knew he wanted to escape the boringness that surrounded him and explore the world, and he was able to do just that once he enlisted in the Marine Corps.
