[Shakopee Valley News, October 10, 2011] St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee will conduct a full-scale evacuation exercise on Thursday morning. The drill will include outside emergency medical services and fire agencies in addition to St. Francis staff. The exercise will start with a briefing at 8 a.m. It will be completed with a debriefing and evaluation that will end by noon.
All Allina hospitals, like St. Francis, have an evacuation plan. However the full-scale drill will test the St. Francis plan. Allina’s Unity, Abbott Northwestern, Mercy and United hospitals have already tested their plans.
