Mercy trauma center to get Level 2 status

[Star Tribune, January 04, 2011] The path has been cleared for the trauma center at Mercy Hospital to get official state designation as a Level Two Trauma Center this month.

"The Level Two accreditation means that the emergency department and other areas of Mercy are capable of caring for complex trauma patients," said Tom O'Connor, president of Mercy Hospital.
