Expanded Piper Breast Center® at the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute - Abbott Northwestern opens in new location

[Allina Newsroom, November 03, 2010] Piper Breast Center at the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute – Abbott Northwestern has relocated to Suite 402 in the Piper Building, 913 E. 26^th St. in Minneapolis.

Piper Breast Center is the first in Minnesota to be accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers and is also a designated Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology.

The expanded space includes enhancements, such as the LumaGEM® molecular breast imaging system to complement the existing diagnostic capacity; additional full-field digital mammogram and breast ultrasound systems; additional exam and consultation room, and beautifully appointed patient and family conference rooms.

 

Opened in 1995, Piper Breast Center is part of the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute and Allina Hospitals & Clinics, a non-profit network of hospitals, clinics and other health care services.
