Allina Medical Clinic electronic medical records

[Faribault Daily News, April 18, 2010] All 65 Allina clinics and eight Allina hospitals have been using an electronic medical records system called Excellian for years. Locally we implemented this four years ago. This system is a fully integrated and incorporates everything from lab and X-ray to prescriptions to scheduling to office notes and consultations. Excellian allows seamless communication between clinics, hospitals and visiting specialists and harnesses the power of information to make patient care more effective, efficient and safe.

Over the past year, a team from District One Hospital and Allina has successfully built an interface that allows information to be shared between the local hospital and clinic thereby enhancing the quality and safety of care here in Faribault.
