Allina Health promotes Lisa Shannon to President and Chief Operating Officer

MINNEAPOLIS (September 30, 2020) - On September 24, Lisa Shannon assumed the role of President and Chief Operating Officer of Allina Health. In her new role as President, Shannon will expand her scope by leading Strategy and Business Development for the health care system, in addition to her existing oversight responsibility for Allina Health’s hospitals, primary and specialty care divisions, and information services as Chief Operating Officer. 

Shannon joined Allina Health in August of 2017 to lead operations and to position Allina as the leader in delivering high quality, integrated complex care across all geographies served by our system. So far during her three-year tenure at Allina Health, Shannon has significantly advanced the integration of services across the health care system, introduced and fostered a safety culture built upon the tenants of a high reliability organization, and advanced organizational capabilities to deliver on our Whole Person Care approach which honors all aspects of health—mind, body, spirit and community—for the those we are serve and for the employees of Allina Health.

Prior to joining Allina Health, Shannon served multiple senior executive roles with KentuckyOne Health, Spectrum Health in Michigan and OhioHealth.
