MINNEAPOLIS (Nov. 12, 2020) The March of Dimes recently recognized nine Allina Health nurses at its 2020 Nurse of the Year Awards ceremony. Three of the nine Allina Health nurses recognized for excellence in care won their respective categories.
Our nurses are the frontline of our health care system and their role has only become more critical during COVID-19. This pandemic has highlighted not only the critical care that nurses provide, but the importance of caring and compassionate individuals during times of crisis, illness, and worry.
Allina Health is proud to have had nine extraordinary nurses honored for their work. Nurses were nominated by peers, family, or friends and winners were then selected by a team of nursing professionals.
We are incredibly proud to have the work of our nurses recognized for their outstanding care. Our nursing teams across Minnesota and western Wisconsin consistently go above and beyond in caring for their patients. Their work goes beyond the care they provide to patients -- it is the compassion and grace they embody as they care for our communities.

May (Winner in the Oncology category, Abbott Northwestern Hospital), and Kelley Anaas (Staff Nurse – Critical Care, Abbott Northwestern Hospital).
