New Ulm Medical Center welcomes new family medicine nurse practitioner

NEW ULM, Minn. (July 12, 2019) — New Ulm Medical Center is proud to announce that Michelle Evans, APRN, CNP, has joined the New Ulm Medical Center Clinic staff as a family practice provider. She will see patients in the Walk-in (Urgent Care) clinic.

Evans is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Certified Nurse Practitioner. She has practiced as an APRN/CNP for two years after having practiced as a registered nurse for 16 years.

"I became a nurse practitioner two years ago but I was a nurse for 16 years prior to that," Evans said. "I knew it was the career for me, when I realized I could do more with more education."

Evans says a challenge in her work that she finds particularly rewarding is educating people so that they can finally understand the why behind the treatment for their illness rather than just doing what they are told.
