District One Hospital welcomes Jackson Maddux, MD, Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Associates

FARIBAULT, Minn. 1/7/2019 — District One Hospital is proud to welcome Jackson Maddux, MD, to Faribault. Dr. Maddux specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation, including musculoskeletal and spine problems, and is a provider with Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Associates.

Most recently, Dr. Maddux practiced with Twin Cities Orthopedics as well as Summit Orthopedics. He also has experience reviewing medical claims.

Originally from San Francisco, Maddux received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, and completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Kentucky, in 2001.

“I became a physician after having many experiences in the backcountry of California while backpacking and rock climbing, he said. “I have had the privilege of being able to help fellow hikers and climbers because of first-aid training from being a SCUBA instructor in College.

“I am passionate about providing informed care to my patients. I feel that it is my calling to make sure that patients know as much as they can about their condition so that they can make good decisions about their health and quality of life.”

Dr. Maddux is also a licensed pilot and medical director for the Civil Air Patrol. He has had experience as an advanced instructor in SCUBA, an outdoor adventure guide and ski instructor.

Dr. Maddux will also see patients at Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Associates in Shakopee.

Allina Health Faribault Medical Center (formerly District One Hospital), a part of Allina Health, provides a broad range of inpatient and outpatient health care services to Faribault and the surrounding communities.
