Allina Health opens Urgent Care in Faribault

FARIBAULT, Minn. 1/2/2019  Convenient health care is even closer in Southern Minnesota. Today, the same-day clinic located in the Allina Health Faribault Clinic (on the District One Hospital Health Campus) became an Allina Health Urgent Care offering quick care for illness and injury. The urgent care is open weekdays 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends and most holidays.

"When your medical needs don't require a visit to a hospital emergency room, but you don't want to wait to make a clinic appointment, the convenience of an unscheduled visit to an urgent care is the right answer for more and more of us," Allina Health Urgent Care regional medical director Keith Olson, DO, said. "Now our new urgent care in Faribault makes that immediate, convenient care possible to many more people in Southern Minn."

Everyone from babies through adults can be seen at urgent care for non-life-threatening illness or injury. It’s convenient to just walk in and see a provider with advanced training in emergency care, and with District One Hospital nearby, it’s reassuring for urgent care patients to keep their care local if they are referred to a higher level of care or specialist. The Allina Health Urgent Care in Faribault is located in the Allina Health Faribault Clinic at 100 State Avenue.

With the opening of the Faribault location, Allina Health has 14 urgent care locations throughout Minnesota with emergency-trained providers who can treat most of the same illnesses and injuries as primary care clinics.
