Owatonna Hospital Foundation receives generous in-kind donation valued at more than $20,000
OWATONNA, Minn. 1/23/2018 — Cash Wise Foods in Owatonna recently made a generous donation, valued at more than $20,000, to Owatonna Hospital Foundation. The donation included 325 cases of diapers and 325 bottles of baby shampoo, lotion and digital thermometers.
“The supplies will be offered to families in need who deliver at Owatonna Hospital and also through the Steele County Diaper Bank,” says Natalie Ginter, director, Owatonna Hospital Foundation.
Cash Wise is an annual donor and partner of Owatonna Hospital Foundation. As a supporter of Owatonna Hospital Foundation’s My Baby and Me program, they’ve hosted Diaper Drive events and lunch wagon fundraisers for the past two years. They will be hosting this year’s event on June 14-15.
Adds Ginter, “We are so grateful for this substantial gift and for community partners like Cash Wise. Without annual cash and in-kind donations, we would not be able to help meet the needs of our patients, employees or the communities we serve through local programs like the Steele County Diaper Bank.”
Owatonna Hospital Foundation received the contribution at the end of 2017 with plans to disperse it now until supplies run out.
"This is such a thoughtful surprise,” says Sue Shaft, manager, Birth Center. “Our families will appreciate these useful gifts for their newborn baby.”
