Everyday On Wheels, Allina Health's new mobile clinic, coming to Montrose, Waverly, Rockford

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. 8/17/2018 —Beginning next month Allina Health's new mobile clinic, Everyday On Wheels, will begin seeing patients in the Montrose, Waverly and Rockford communities. Allina's new convenience care initiative is designed to improve our patients' care, experience and access with an option that comes right to their hometown.

Patients will be able to schedule appointments with a nurse practitioner, who will be accompanied by a clinical assistant, to offer nearly any service found in a typical primary care clinic. These include everything from wellness exams to office visits for minor illnesses, injuries and diseases. We accept patients of all age ranges - from babies to seniors. Patients need not be a current Allina Health patient.

"For folks in the communities we'll serve with Everyday On Wheels, getting to a traditional primary care clinic can be very difficult and time consuming," said Anna Gustafson, the nurse practitioner who will staff the Everyday On Wheels clinic. "We plan to take some of the stress out of getting to see a health care professional. We'll be able to take care of everything from a well-child exam to a Medicare wellness exam for seniors, and most any illness or injury for which you'd normally go to a clinic."

Starting with appointments on Sept. 17, Everyday On Wheels will park at Waverly City Hall on Mondays, Rockford Main Street Parking Lot on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and Montrose Community Center on Thursdays. Beginning Aug. 22, patients will be able to schedule appointments online (allinahealth.org/onwheels) or by phone (763-744-4117763-744-4117).
