Dr. Robert Tuttle named medical director of Allina Health orthopedic clinical service line
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. 2/26/2018 — Dr. Robert Tuttle has accepted the position of Medical Director of the Allina Health Orthopedic clinical service line, responsible for the system-wide medical and surgical management of orthopedic disorders, including orthopedics, sports medicine and podiatry. Dr. Tuttle will begin his new position beginning in March.
"Dr. Tuttle is a highly respected physician committed to providing exceptional care outcomes and experiences for every patient," said Dr. Timothy Sielaff, Allina Health chief medical officer. "He has for many years been a highly successful total joint surgeon working at Abbott Northwestern Hospital and the lead of the Abbott Northwestern Orthopedic department.
Along with his administrative role within the orthopedic clinical service line, Dr. Tuttle will continue his surgical practice at Abbott Northwestern Hospital and join the Sports & Orthopaedic Specialists team full-time
"Dr. Tuttle will continue to deliver on the promise we make to every patient that we will provide exceptional, high value, evidence-based, multidisciplinary and coordinated care wherever a patient touches our system," said Sielaff. He will be responsible for the direction and oversight of all medical operations of the clinical service line.
Dr. Tuttle trained in Philadelphia at Drexel University’s Orthopaedic program and completed his fellowship at Pennsylvania Hospital’s Adult Joint Reconstruction Program. Prior to joining Allina Health he was employed by Twin Cities Orthopedics.
