Allina Health Everyday Online visits now available to everyone

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. 4/19/2018  Allina Health's new online medical care platform, Everyday Online, is now available to anyone, not just established Allina Health patients.

This new platform, Allina Health Everyday Online, continues to offer diagnosis and treatment from trusted, board-certified Allina Health providers for a variety of common everyday conditions, like sinus infections and pink eye, but it removes barriers that previously prevented widespread use of online care to non-Allina Health patients.

"Consumer preferences for accessible, affordable, on-demand and tailored health care services continue to influence the health care delivery market," said David Slowinske, Allina Health Group senior vice president for operations. "In an effort to serve these changing consumer preferences and meet the needs of our patients more broadly, Allina Health is creating a portfolio of health care access points that go beyond our clinics and hospitals and reach patients where they live, work and shop.

"These convenience care offerings provide a variety of consumer-oriented care options that meet consumers’ immediate health care needs and seamlessly connect patients to the next level of care, if needed."

With Allina Health Everyday Online patients will experience enhancements that include:
• No longer need to be an existing Allina Health patient to get online care
• Diagnosis and treatment for children to adults for a wide variety of conditions
• Fixed pricing of $49, or the insurance co-pay, whichever is less
• Quick online care accessible 24/7, including holidays
• A great online experience that is compatible with mobile devices

"Allina Health Everyday Online is a convenient alternative when you can’t get to the clinic or a convenient appointment. A patient starts an online visit by answering a series of questions about how they are feeling and the symptoms they are experiencing," said Dr. Jane Herrmann, Allina Health Everyday Online lead physician. "An Allina Health provider reviews the online interview submitted by the patient and responds with a diagnosis and treatment plan, including necessary prescriptions, within one hour."
