Allina Health earns URAC specialty pharmacy accreditation

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. 8/9/2018  Allina Health Heart Hospital Pharmacy is proud to announce that it has earned URAC accreditation as a specialty pharmacy. URAC is the independent leader in promoting health care quality through accreditation, certification and measurement. By achieving this status, Allina Health Heart Hospital Pharmacy has demonstrated a comprehensive commitment to quality care, improved processes and better patient outcomes. 

The specialty pharmacy program at Allina Health Heart Hospital Pharmacy is a set of services focused on providing a high level of support for patients who have a medical condition that requires specialty medications, such as multiple sclerosis, organ transplant, inflammatory diseases or hepatitis C. The pharmacy is located on the Abbott Northwestern Hospital campus in Minneapolis, and supports patient needs 24/7/365.
