Here's what's new

  • Get ready to enroll in Workday: Watch a video or view a tip sheet to learn how to select, review and/or change your benefits using the new Workday enrollment tool. All of your 2022 plan options and costs will be presented to you when you enroll in Workday, Nov. 5-22.

  • The cost of medical coverage will not increase for non-contract employees, and employees who follow non-contract benefits in 2022! Absorbing this 4% increase to the cost of medical coverage is one of the many ways we’re “all in” on investing in you.

  • Explore a new option to purchase PTO: New for 2022, eligible employees have a new option to buy up to 40 hours of Paid Time Off during 2022 Benefits Enrollment. Learn more.

  • Wondering how much life insurance you need? Use the new Securian Financial life insurance decision tool to get started. By answering a few simple questions about your family and finances, you can determine the coverage that meets your needs and budget.

  • Anything new with you? The best health plan for you may differ from year to year, based on changes to your needs or the number of people you enroll. Tap into the ALEX plan comparison tool for non-contract employees or for MNA-represented employees for help. Note: ALEX is not intended for SEIU-represented employees.

Your enrollment checklist

Ready to get started? From the AKN homepage, visit HRConnect and click on the Workday icon to enroll in your 2022 benefits between Friday, Nov. 5, and Monday, Nov. 22 (check out the Workday video and tip sheet links above for help). 

  • Determine if you want to set aside tax-free dollars ($100 minimum) in a Flexible Spending Account (Health Care FSA, Limited Purpose FSA or Dependent Care FSA). Your 2021 elections will not roll over to 2022.
  • Review your medical, dental and life insurance options.
  • If you make an election to your Allina Health 2022 Health Care or Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account, up to $570 of your remaining 2021 balance will roll over. Note: Funds are not available until April 1, 2022.
  • If you enroll in the Select or Basic plan, decide if you want to make pre-tax contributions to your Health Savings Account to use for qualified health care expenses and for retirement after age 65.
  • Select More Voluntary Benefits in HRConnect to review the benefits offered through this program.
  • Complete enrollment and validate your elections.
  • In addition to enrolling in benefits, remember to update your personal information in Workday, including address, phone number, direct deposit and W-2.
  • Remember, all changes must be complete by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 22.
